Game Access Meetup Brno '24

Join the gamedev community at the annual Game Access Meetup! Let's network, get inspired and have some fun!

The Meetup will be, as usual, linked to GameDev Connect, our public-oriented event for beginners, students and the larger community. They will both take place in Hall A at BVV, Connect during the day, Meetup in the evening.

Entrance to the meetup is free, but you will need to complete registration. This is so that we know how many people will come and plan adequately – nobody wants the beer to run out!

There is also an option to purchase a special supporter's ticket, for the friends and fans of our work. We would really appreciate it :-)

The program:

1. Fireside Chat > John Goodale, "What can Brno learn from Asia?"

Come and have a talk with the "Father of Unity Asia" and another certified gamedev veteran, John Goodale.

Currently, John is the CEO of the cloud game streaming platform Jam.gg and serves on several advisory boards. He has almost 30 years of experience with leading teams in the game dev industry, including launching Unity Asia in 2010.

The chat will be moderated by Johny Darkwah from Kapnetix, with whom Goodale is thrilled to be cooperating.

2. Fireside Chat > Marián Ferko & Marek Rabas, "30 years of Czech & Slovak gamedev history"

Join a discussion with certified gamedev veterans Marián Ferko and Marek Rabas.

Marek is the CEO & co-founder of Madfinger Games who worked as a Lead Programmer at Illusion Softworks. Marián is one of the co-founders of studio Cauldron, president of the Slovak Game Developers Association and current Senior Video Editor at Nine Rocks Games.

The discussion will be moderated by Zdeněk Záhora.

3. Ambient chill

Video game soundtracks, delicious drinks and the cozy company of the local gamedev community.
