Cinemax has been on the Czech scene since 1998. The company specializes in both game development and distribution. Its first creation was the 2002 game Necromania: Trap of Darkness. In 2005, the company collaborated with Centauri Production on the game Žhavé léto 3 ½. In 2006, the studio released the arcade game Gumboy: Crazy Adventures, which won several awards thanks to its originality and appealing graphics. In 2007, the medieval RPG Numen: Contest of Heroes saw the light of day. The company was also involved in the distribution of games such as Berušky 2, Inquisitor, State of War, State of War 2, State of War: Warmonger, Daemonica, and last but not least, Ve stínu havrana.
