WHO DO WE NEED?
We’re looking for an experienced and driven Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our team at IGS.
You'll play a key role in shaping core systems, from player movement and combat to networking
and interactions, in both UE5 and UE4.
You’ll join us as we build a brand-new UE5 project while continuing to support and evolve our
current live-service title. If you enjoy taking ownership of gameplay systems and mentoring others
while working hands-on in C++, this role is for you.
WHAT IS THE JOB ABOUT?
- Implement core gameplay systems (movement, shooting, interactions, etc.) in UE5
- Write clean, performant, and maintainable C++ code
- Work with multiplayer systems and network-replicated gameplay features
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and other programmers to bring game features to life
- Take ownership of full features and subsystems, from prototype to polish
- Support, maintain, and improve existing gameplay systems in our UE4 live title
- Debug and optimise gameplay code for PC and consoles
- Guide and support other team members, contributing to a positive and effective dev culture
WHO WILL BE A GOOD FIT?
- Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine and C++
- Strong understanding of networked gameplay, replication, and multiplayer architecture
- Solid grasp of gameplay system architecture (combat, movement, interaction, etc.)
- Experience working across entire game features, from concept to final implementation
- Comfortable working with Blueprints and integrating with other disciplines
- Good understanding of performance optimisation and debugging
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills
- Proficient English, both written and spoken
- Passion for mentoring and helping other developers grow
