Bohemia Interactive is looking for a Lead Programmer to join our DayZ team in Prague to reinforce our programming department. As a Programmer, you will spearhead our future development efforts and mentor our upcoming Software Engineers. A successful Lead Programmer will also be a team-player, able to work with already established systems, and be flexible when it comes to the day-to-day needs of the project. 

Job Description

• Mentor junior members of the team
• Lead up to 4 team members
• Show own invention in learning new knowledge (scripting, algorithms, data structure)
• Fix bugs in software (game engine)
• Adjust programs and game engine
• Actively design solutions
• Seek to improve workflow as well as new techniques
• Bear know-how, has an impact on the final form of the game
• Work on game mechanisms and game-play
• Work on new technologies
• Cooperate with other departmens

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' of programming experience
• Expertise in C/C++
• Gamedev experience
• Professional experience demonstrating proficiency in algorithm design, understanding of complexity, and software architecture and design
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent spoken and written communication

Pluses

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Art, or a related field or equivalent experience
• Previous experience shipping and supporting a live product
• Experience with console development
