Responsibilities
- Designing, prototyping, iterating and polishing environments using asset placement, terrain sculpting, and painting
- Communication and cooperation with other environment designers and artists to create believable environments
- Gathering asset reference materials, and creating asset lists
- Proactively seeks feedback and is capable of implementing it
- Actively comes up with creative design solutions
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a Level Designer/Environment Designer
- General knowledge of environmental processes and urbanism
- Eye for detail and good visualization skills
- Ability to create and iterate on simple functional whitebox models
- Ability to actively search for information on the internet, in libraries, archives, or in the field
- Capability to critically interpret and categorize research findings
- Good communication skills and being a team player
- Good spoken and written English (B2 and higher)
- Basic knowledge of modern history and its cultural and political context
Optional:
- Basic 2D (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and 3D art skills (Max, Blender, etc.)
- Experience with procedural terrain tools (Houdini, World Machine, etc.) and 3D game engines (Unity, Unreal, etc.)
- Interest in modern military history
- Interest in ARMA series or games with a similar authentic approach
- Land navigation, understanding of maps and plans
