We are looking for a Technical Designer for an unannounced project based in Amsterdam.
Job Description
- Implement important game mechanics and other game elements
- Create technical analyses of game mechanics
- Configure asset parameters and create prefabs
- Work with other departments to create solutions for gameplay mechanics based on design
- Participate in regular play sessions and check the state of implemented mechanics
- Use our internal game editor or external instruments to create tools that support game development
- Improve, adjust, and enhance documentation according to the actual state of mechanics and assets
- Write code in an object-oriented scripting language (Clike)
Education/Skills
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience
- Good spoken and written English
- Good scripting capabilities
- Experience with developing open-world games
Technical knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of OOP and event-driven programming (C#, Java)
- Knowledge of Enfusion engine is welcome
- Knowledge of algorithms and understanding problems related to engine performance
- Familiarity with other game engines (Unity, Unreal, Source, or similar)
- Creativity combined with an analytical approach to design
- Ability to abstract important features and turn them into a design
