We’re searching for a passionate designer to join our UI/UX team and work on great interfaces for our flagship game ARMA. More specifically, we’re looking for an experienced graphic designer with an interest in UI/UX. Your job will mostly consist of creating detailed UI elements like icons, illustrations, UI art, widgets, and entire in-game layouts. If you also have experience with creating wireframes, prototypes, cooperating with developers, and ensuring great user experiences, then you may just be the candidate we’re looking for.
Responsibilities
- Create visual layout proposals and UI elements like widgets, icons, and UI art.
- Provide requirements, design, and feedback to teams working on in-house UI tools/pipelines
- Work with game designers and programmers to integrate the technical and aesthetic elements of a game's UI
- Create meaningful UX deliverables such as storyboards, wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and presentations that help the team understand what to build
- Revise and improve designs based on user feedback, research, tech constraints and business decisions
Requirements
- Proficiency in creating detailed vector or raster graphics such as icons, textures, layouts, and widgets.
- Advanced knowledge of graphic design software from the Creative Cloud family - Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
- Knowledge of UI prototyping software such as Figma, Azure, Balsamiq or equivalent
- Knowledge of design trends, usability, and best practices across devices and platforms
- Ability to objectively evaluate user experiences and understand how users experience gaming products
- Prior experience as a UI/UX designer or graphic designer with a focus on UI, such as a web or app designer
- Good spoken and written English
Nice to have
- Experience with designing promotional materials such as corporate identity materials, ads, social media content, and visual identity / logo design
- Experience in game development
- Knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Vegas Pro or similar
- Skills in Illustrations
- Animation experience, motion design, 2D or 3D animation
- Knowledge of any industry standard 3D modelling software such as Blender, Maya, 3DSMax, Z Brush or Substance Painter
